Emma Estes is an artist, specializing in photography, SFX makeup, and set-design. Based in NYC, she uses her passion for makeup as an avenue to design complex fictional characters that have become the essence of her photographic work. In Emma’s most recent project, 1.5° Celsius, she designed and executed five characters that have mutated to the future consequences of global climate change. Narratives exploring environmental injustice are a reoccurring theme throughout Emma’s work and can be seen in the “Projects” tab.

Emma recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, earring a BFA in Photography and Imaging with a second major in Urban Design and Architecture Studies.
